Przemyslaw (short Przemek, pronounced as ‘Pshemek’) Grabowicz is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University College Dublin and an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Przemek received his Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Physics from the Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems (2014, cum laude) and M.Sc. from Warsaw University of Technology (2008, cum laude). He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems.
Przemek’s research is focused on computational social science, applied NLP, and responsible AI. He has been awarded highly competitive grants from the German Volkswagen Foundation and the U.S. National Science Foundation. His research publications received two international academic awards and were discussed in Science, Wall Street Journal, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, El Mundo, Haaretz, and reached the top of Reddit’s Science.
